Swing For Eggs Base Guide

Finish the run you started, read what your base actually does, and leave for the next trip with one change instead of three.

Your base is the end of the run, not a break from it

The game's own description gives the loop as one sentence: swing over the guardians, snatch the egg mid-air, and hatch it back at base. That makes the base the only place where a carried egg turns into something you keep, so a trip that ends anywhere else has not paid out yet.

This guide covers what the base is described as doing, the order that stops a finished run turning into an unfinished one, and which base numbers are still unpublished. It does not price anything and does not claim a hatch timer for a specific egg.

Order of operations

Finish one run before you start another

A new egg announcement is not a reason to leave a successful escape unfinished. Work the same five steps each time you land.

  1. Secure the egg. Confirm the egg has left your hands and is now somewhere in your base rather than still being carried. A carried egg is the state other players are described as able to interrupt.
  2. Read the hatch display. Check which entry the timer or ready prompt belongs to. Ready and waiting eggs can sit in the same panel at the same time.
  3. Collect what has finished. Clear ready eggs before a new route takes your attention, rather than leaving them for later in the session.
  4. Inspect the result. Read the fields on the pet screen in front of you. Rarity, egg size and appearance are separate from the earning figure.
  5. Leave with one change. Decide whether the last run ended because of Speed, web range, route choice or swing capacity, change one of them, and retry the same route so the comparison means something.

If you buy whatever stall is nearest, swap a pet without comparing it and rush straight out again, the next run cannot tell you which change helped.

What the base holds

Four stops, and what each one is documented as doing

Base layout, station placement and anything that could be described as base building are not published anywhere this site has read. Numbers such as a station's storage size or an upgrade tier ceiling are read off your own screen, not from here.

The nightly nest reset changes your next run, not your base

The description states that all nests reset every night. That points at the nests you take eggs from, so it decides when a route is worth repeating — it does not say that your base or your hatched pets reset.

No universal clock is published. Watch your own server across two resets and use the night timer to estimate the next interval from your own observations rather than from a fixed schedule quoted somewhere else.

Base questions players actually ask

What is the base for in Swing For Eggs?
It is where a run finishes and the next one starts. The game description names hatching as something that happens back at base, so a carried egg is only converted once you are home. Note that nests are described as resetting every night.
How long do eggs take to hatch at the base?
The wait is shown on each egg's own row, and the published material does not give a universal hatch duration. Read the timer attached to the egg you are waiting for rather than reusing another egg's number.
Should I train Speed or buy a suit first?
They fix different problems. Training raises the Speed stat; a suit sets both a swing capacity and a Speed multiplier. If a run ends because the Swings counter empties, compare capacity before comparing multipliers.
Can someone take the egg out of my base?
Not established. The described interaction is knocking an egg out of a carrier's hands while it is being carried. Keep anything already hatched out of that decision and read the live prompts before confirming.

What this page does and does not settle

The base loop, the hatch-at-base step and the nightly nest reset come from the game's own store description, re-read on October 5, 2026. Hatch durations, station storage, base layout and any reset clock are not published, so they are left out rather than estimated. Prices live on the game passes and items pages, and every number should be re-read from your own session before you spend.
