Taking Eggs From Other Players in Swing For Eggs

What the game confirms about knocking an egg loose, how to set up the attempt without wasting your own swings, and how to bring your own egg home intact.

Yes — eggs can be knocked out of a carrier's hands

The official game description lists “Knock eggs out of other players' hands” as part of the loop. That confirms the interaction exists, but it does not publish a knock range, cooldown, hitbox or success rule. Treat the attempt as a contest over a moving target: the carrier is only vulnerable while the egg is out of the base, and every swing you spend chasing is a swing you no longer have for your own run.

If your goal is your own progression rather than denial, remember that a knock does not by itself prove the egg becomes yours — our sources do not establish who is allowed to claim a loose egg, or for how long it stays claimable. Several egg types are also worth more than others, so the risk you accept should match the egg you are defending.

What is confirmed, and by whom

Confirmed detailWhat it means in playEvidence
You can take an egg away from another playerThe game's own description lists “Knock eggs out of other players' hands” as a feature of the loop, next to swinging over the guardians and hatching the egg back at base. Eggs are not private property once someone is carrying one.official
Eggs travel as physical cargoThe same description describes snatching an egg mid-air and hatching it at base. So a carrier is exposed between the nest and their base, not at the moment of pickup only.official
Swings are a shared, limited resourceOne recorded session shows the HUD dropping to 0/3 Swings mid-flight, and suit capacity is a shop stat. A long carry spends the same resource you need to reach the nest or escape.observed
Nests refill every nightThe description states all nests reset every night. A nest emptied by another player is a temporary loss, not a permanent one.official

“Observed” marks a single recorded session, not a universal rule. Store prices, multipliers and swing counts can change with an update.

Where a carry is actually vulnerable

The confirmed loop is nest → carry → base → hatch. That splits a run into three moments, and they are not equally exposed:

  1. Pickup at the nest. Other players can see a nest being emptied. This is the moment you are most likely to be watched, because the nest location is shared knowledge rather than a position you chose.
  2. The crossing. Confirmed hazard here is a red swing bar: a long gap burns swings you may need to recover. Any interruption during a crossing compounds with that — you lose both the egg and the swings already spent.
  3. The final approach to base. This is your strongest point, because the remaining distance is the shortest and you can choose to arrive with an untouched swing in reserve.

The practical rule that follows is about the swing bar, not about reaction speed: do not begin a long carry with less capacity than the trip out and back needs. Check which suit is equipped before the run rather than after — suit capacity and multipliers differ, and a suit with more swings per run also gives you more recovery after a knock.

Trying for a knock without losing your own run

Attack decisions in this game are resource decisions. The useful checks, in order:

Unknown: the exact knock inputs and reach

No public source we checked states the input, hitbox, range or cooldown for a knock. Read the current in-game control hint and test the interaction in a live server; this page deliberately gives no numbers we cannot stand behind.

Bringing your own egg home

You cannot switch off the mechanic, so the defence is route choice and timing rather than a button:

Egg stealing questions

Can other players steal eggs from my base?

Not established. The confirmed mechanic is knocking an egg out of a carrier's hands. Our sources do not show a base storage raid, so treat anything you have already hatched as converted progress and anything still in flight as exposed.

Does a knocked egg go to whoever knocked it?

Unknown. The description confirms the knock, not the claim. Assume the egg is loose and contested until the game gives it to someone, and check the egg state in your own inventory before counting it as yours.

Is stealing worth it compared with farming?

Only with spare swings and a reachable target. Farming income depends on your equipped pets and cash per second, which keeps paying while you fly; a failed knock pays nothing and can cost the run you were already on. If your goal is progression, the farming guide is the lower-variance path.
